Dr. Cichowski is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is Board Certified in both Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.
Dr. Cichowski's work includes building general neurology service lines, designing EEG and EMG laboratories, selecting equipment, authoring protocols, and delivering academic level diagnostics in rural community settings. He has served as the sole EEG interpreter and EMG provider within a regional hospital system, supervised technologists, optimized clinic operations, contributed to CME accredited education, and led multidisciplinary teams. Beyond clinical practice, he applies experience in electronics prototyping, computer programming, and artificial intelligence to practical innovations in diagnostics, workflow design, and patient access.
Dr. Cichowski's expertise includes advanced EEG interpretation, needle electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCSs), evoked potentials (EPs), autonomic testing (AFT), and comprehensive general neurology. He manages neuromodulation therapies, including DBS, VNS, and RNS, from patient selection through programming and longitudinal follow-up. He performs procedures such as lumbar puncture, skin punch biopsies, and therapeutic chemodenervation. As a patient advocate, he translates complex findings into plain-language, aligns care plans with patient goals, and maintains thoughtful continuity of care.

Personal Interests
Dr. Cichowski's time outside of clinical life is spent on world travel, outdoor adventures, electronic music production, and in a darkroom developing film, plates, and prints. Business consulting and early startup advising are enjoyable parallels to his focus on medicine. Creative coding is a favorite pastime, and this website, including its graphics and scripts, was crafted as much for his own enjoyment as it was for yours. Epee fencing, surfing, mountain biking, and skiing are among his many other interests.
